The developments regarding the outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the Czech Republic as of 3 April 2020 are presented below:

It is stated in the press reports that the
increasing trend in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases throughout the country has entered the slowdown
process. According to the data of the Ministry of Health, the tests performed in the last week and the number of
confirmed cases are as follows.

The total number of tests carried out across the country has reached 67,281 (22,600 as of 25 March), the number of people recovering has increased to 71 (10 persons as of 25 March) and the number of deaths has increased to 46 (5 persons as of 25 March).

In his interview with Blesk yesterday, Prime Minister Andrej Babiş stated that the epidemic could reach the peak with 10-15 thousand cases as of the end of April and that life may return to normal in the country in late May or June.

The Communist Party and the Pirates announced their support to the extension of the State of Emergency, which is currently ongoing and expires on April 11, until April 30, in the House of Representatives.
