Republic Of Türkiye Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 30.06.2016

No: 150, 30 June 2016

We have learnt with great sorrow that according to the initial reports, forty people, most of whom are police cadets, lost their lives and more than one hundred were injured in the terrorist attack perpetrated against the police cadet’s convoy today (30 June) in Kabul.

We condemn this terrorist attack in the strongest terms, wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, wish for a speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, the Government and the brotherly people of Afghanistan.

We believe that this heinous attack targeting the efforts towards reigning peace and stability in Afghanistan, will not achieve its malicious goal and not affect determination of the Government of Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism. On this occasion, we once again emphasize that Turkey will continue its support to the Government of Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism and its efforts for bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan and its solidarity with the brotherly people of Afghanistan.
